| Well, I went ahead and ordered a Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 Wolfdale 3.16GHz CPU for my system. I checked it out on Tom's Hardware and did some more research the E8500 beat out the Q6600 in most instances that are important to me and the apps I use. _________________

| Yep that is an excellent CPU Chip! It has had HIGH reviews on it and some say it is the fastest "gaming" CPU chip on the market for a Dual Core. _________________

| That is a good CPU but now you need 4Gb and Vista64. You can have the fasted CPU on the market but as I have stated 4GB of good memory is needed. The 64bit OS helps as well but you know that. One thing that you will notice is that the GPU will run flawless. It won't bottleneck which the E6600 may have done a little.
That is my issue I am having and even though I have a Q6600 the 8800GTX's still bottleneck the CPU. Only thing I can do is OC which I will but not now as I am pulling it all apart soon. Need to replace the coolant and run the hoses a little better and a new bigger Res is needed.
But sweet.
And with a better mother board you could have OC'd what you have. Reaching 3.2 is nothing for the E6600 but need real good cooling. _________________

| Thanks, I will probably upgrade to Vista 64 bit and add some higher performance RAM as well depending on the job situation... _________________
